Be able to add horizontal and vertical lines like photoshop. Create from menu or click ruler and drag guide onto image. Ability to move guides across their axis. Especially useful for lining up text layers.

If i click on 'Edit' in iPhoto, I want Pinta to open the photo, so I can edit it.
Also I would suggest to use the finder-design to browse through the photos for a better implementation of iPhoto

Adding a Forum to the website would be extremelly useful. With the add-ins now offiically a thing, it would put a place where people could reference the add-ins they make. Also suggest repositories for the add-ins, share tips and tricks to making certain effects, etc. You don't even have to monitor it, we just need a central point to talk to other pinta users.

Allow Pinta to work with images that have limited palettes.

It would be great if pinta could handle multipage tif files. Especially for the OS Microsoft Windows 7 (64 bit).

Add different presets like 800x600, 640x480 for the new file dialog.

Also add a transparent check box to create the first layer transparent instead of white

Currently my D3100 camera saves the images as JPEG with EXIF metadata. When I open the image with PINTA to finalise images and save as a new name the EXIF metadata is lost

Please add a width selector for the Pencil mode.

When I select object from Tools, Palette, Layers and History, sometimes it happens that toolbar get re-sized. I would like to have some kind of lock toolbar option to stop changing the size of toolbar.

allow moving pasted large image inside "new" smaller image for better focusing.

The ability to change the default keyboard shortcuts to whatever you want.
For example, I would like to hit ESC to deselect / finish pixels, because that is more natural to me than CTRL + SHIFT + A.

Doesn't require implementation of existing brush file formats as it's just a few variables that need changing by some sliders, and an icon list with some preset example brushes.

Provide a textarea on the site for Debian users to copy something like this from, into their terminal window:
